Concept Art is up

The concept art section of the gallery is up now, thus completing the 2D gallery as a whole (thankfully).  There’s a bit of a bug currently not letting the thumbnails show up for that section that I’m hoping I can fix with fresh eyes tomorrow.

I ended up removing the Graphic Art section altogether and will be putting the very small handful of pieces I had for that section in with the Digital Paintings, so adding the concept art was the last stretch for 2D art.  Also did a clean-up pass on every single page, making sure they are uniform in their screen placement as several revisions have already been made to the core layout for gallery pages (not much though).

Scanning all the concept art was a pain in the ass, let me tell you.  The scanner is not made for anything past a legal document, so I had to scan each page twice and then stitch each one together in Photoshop to make it look like a single image.  I’m happy with the end result but it took way, way longer than I thought it would.

Tomorrow I think I’m going to take a break from the gallery work and try fleshing out the “about” page, as well as the contact & resume pages.   I really have no clue where to start with the resume so I’ll probably do a good amount of snooping around for examples beforehand.  The current plan for the about page is to go a little more into detail about myself than the blog pages do, for employers or just web surfers to check out if they want to.  I know I like reading those kind of pages on other people’s websites at least.

All I’ve got for tonight, though.  See how tomorrow goes.
